Job Description

Key requirements:

1. Extensive experience of complex embedded software development, preferably in the video and consumer electronics domain.

2. Excellence in C and C++ programming, structured approach to software development.

3. Knowledge of an HDL programming language (Verilog, VHDL).

4. Excellent problem solving and planning skills, desire to achieve.

5. A degree in the relevant discipline.

Other requirements:

6. Clear understanding of the MPEG 2 and H.264 video decoder, including the data flow and control path of the video decoder.

7. Familiarity with the Linux kernel drivers.

8. Development experience in embedded Linux, especially in consumer electronics context (STB/media player/handheld device).

9. Understanding of DVB standards, digital data security and rights management systems.

10. Knowledge of the basic concepts of a RTOS, multi threading and multitasking programming environment.

11. Some experience of assembly programming.

12. Some experience in HDL design for ASIC/FPGA.

13. Familiarity with kernel and user space debugging and profiling would be an added advantage.

1. We are looking for a candidate with Extensive experience in complex embedded software development, preferably in the video and consumer electronics domain.

2. Excellent in C, C++ programming, experience in embedded Linux, especially in consumer electronics context (STB/media player/handheld device)

3. Candidate with Valid UK work Permit (Preferred).
