‘Golmaal Returns’ and ‘All The Best’ have frontlined Devgan genius for comedy.

Ajay Devgn, though, insists that he’s truly itching to pack a few deadly punches! On screen, that is. “I really want to do an action film,” he declares in a newspaper chat. “But every time I choose to run away from comedy, it chooses me.”

‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge’, his latest venture is being touted as being in the “Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee brand of cinema.”

“The moment I heard the first draft I knew that it was cast in the same mould,” declares Devgn. “Their films tickled your funny bone, but they also had a soul.”

Illumining Konkona Sen Sharma and Paresh Rawal alongside Devgn, ‘ATKJ’, being dolled up for a March release, was canned in one continuous schedule of 45 days!

Ashwni Dhir, director of ‘ATKJ’, speaks of his lead actor in panegyrics. Says Dhir in a tabloid chat, “Ajay is a first rate actor and a natural. Be it action, comedy or drama, he will excel in it .”
